Nishimura Foundation International Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded)

Are you an Indonesian graduate from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Indonesia, or Universitas Airlangga aspiring to study in Japan? The Nishimura International Scholarship Fund from the Nishimura Foundation is your gateway to fully funded scholarships in Japan. Pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programs at top Japanese universities—Kyoto University, Osaka University, Ritsumeikan University, Kwansei Gakuin University, and their partners—with living stipends, airfare support, and more.

This Japan Scholarships for Indonesians initiative is designed to eliminate financial barriers and strengthen Indonesia–Japan educational ties, empowering high‑achieving graduates to excel in STEM, humanities, social sciences, or any field of choice, while immersing in Japanese culture and society.

Eligibility

Citizenship: Indonesian, graduated from UGM, ITB, UI, or UNAIR

Level: Undergraduate (S1), Master’s (S2), or PhD (S3)

Universities: Enrolled as self‑funding students at Kyoto, Osaka, Ritsumeikan, Kwansei Gakuin (or partner institutions)

Academics: GPA ≥ 3.0 (S1) or ≥ 3.5 (S2)

Languages: Japanese proficiency or strong commitment to learn; English proficiency accepted

Motivation: Passion for Japan–Indonesia relations and cross‑cultural exchange

Scholarship Benefits

  • Monthly Stipend: ¥130,000 for living expenses
  • Duration: 2 years (Master’s), 3 years (PhD)
  • One‑time Arrival Grant: ¥150,000 for airfare & initial costs
  • Quarterly Disbursements
  • No Application Fee

Note: Scholarship contingent on admission to a specified Japanese university.
